Tool problem

In the tutorials for map making, they say go to the Halo root directory in command prompt, how do i do that when the halo root directory is on a diffrent hardrvie in my comp, cause when i open command prompt, it goes to C:\Documents and setting\Ownr23 while tool is in D:\Program File\Microsoft Games\ Halo Custom Edition.
