Hey, you all know how the Zanzibar dudes made all the duelwielding, destructable enviroments, and what have you.
And Bungie/GearSoft said that custom features can be added to Halo CE through the use of Netcode.
Well, what is netcode? Like what language, how do I get the code into Halo CE?
The CE netcode.
netcode is the stuff that supports ur game over the net. as far as i know, netcode cannot be changed by non-bungie/non-gearbox people(aka: us).
netcode supports all the features of the game, but it does have limitations and dodgy parts. like bullet lag (forced to aim infront of opponants alot). there are fixes for this particular one. its called NitrousOxides Somethinf or other i cant remember the name fix. netcode doesnt support proper dual weilding or boarding or AI. the game wasnt designed to go that far.

Well, then how did those CE Zanzi guys make duel wielding and such?
Some CE people said that their using netcode to acomplish the tasks.
Oh, and the reason non-bungie or non-gearbox people can't change the code is because they have the source code for the executable, but more importantly, the Dynamic-Link Libraries.
The only thing that is in the executable (Halo.exe) is the menu and map links, everything else is in the dlls, or the map files. If anyone knows a good DLL uncompiler or unpacker than tell me.
Last thing, do you remember on that Whats What Update, Frankie said that the netcode of Halo 2 could not support the "Z0mbie" game type?
Well, isn't it possible to do this:
Create a separate map that will support "Zombies" and make all players Marines. Then make either a random person, or selective player be a flood infection. Then have him be able to spawn infinatly and give him the "latch on" funtion of campain flood. The player will then have to latch unto a human player, leeching their life, then when the target is dead, the corpse will rise up like in the campain and the flood infection player will now have control over it and will spawn as that flood forever.
Isn't it possible to do that?
