open the command prompt that you put in your HaloCE directory, then type tool or tool.exe. then it will pop up with a bunch of options

you have to type int he folowing commands to the exact letter...
Code: Select all
<C:> "cd\program files"
<C:\program files> "cd microsoft games"
<C:\program files\microsoft games> "cd halo custom edition"
<C:\program files\microsoft games\halo custom edition> "tool"
the words in "<>"'s are wat the prompt will show before u type, the words in quotes are what you type...
once you get past that the vid tut will tell you wat to type from there...

can anyone help me ,ive done all the command stuff shown above btu im stuck with the exporting of the level kirk says you type the following..... tool structure levels\splinter splinter
but i tried it and it comes up saying it cannot find the file what should i do ?
i think i know whats wrong when exporting the level through gmax it wouldnt let me save the export as a jms file,it came up saying do not know how to save to that file,so i saved it as a p3d instead ,its the only 1 it was letting me use, how can i change it 2 a jms file ?

well first... you have to find a plugin that is for gmax that lets you export .jms files, second... if it says you have to export it as a .jms file, then you HAVE TO, those two extensions are completely different from each other and you cant simply jsut change the extension, and third, once uve exported it as a .p3d file, ur gonna have to re-export it... because of what i said in #2....
hope this helps
