Can't move in Sapian

I've tried two different mouse(s?) and both don't seem to work... I am running on Windows Vista, and no I'm not saying thats the problem, but I was wondering if there was anything different I have to do with Vista to get Sapian to run properly. Oh, and I've ran Sapian and ahobo with the same results.
Basically, when I hold in the roller on the top of the mouse, and try to move about the map. Nothing happens and I'm stuck sitting in my chair looking like a fool XD. Can anyone here help me?
