Usinhg Halo CE Trainer 3

I've recentally downloaded Halo CE Trainer 3 (http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2665) and i can't figure out how to make it work with Halo: Custom Edition or Halo: Combat Evolved. I've tryed opening the trainer with the game (dragging the shortcut of the trainer into halo) and opening both sepretaly. Can someone show me how to make it work?
