single player controls in HEK, myth or truth?

Post by Rhys »

Has anyone noticed that on www.cortana.org/HEK_tutorial at the HEK tutorial that the sapien population tutorial, it shows subjects called "not relevent to multiplayer" and "single player only"? I'm not stupid or something as such, but everyone is saying that HEK doesn't do single player, but then, why would the option be there if we couldn't use it?

Sapien can do SP. Guerilla can too.

Just put them in CE or convert the map files to Halo PC.

no, we need either a map decompiler or for gearbox to realease a seperate SP tags archive(probably would be around 400megs is my guess). then we would need a list of all the commands and shadernames to name things like triggers in max. and we would probably need so tutorials for noobs out there. there is alot and i can see why they didnt realease it. but i want it none the less.

I'm going to attempt to trick HME into thinking that a CE map is a PC map, then try to figure out what Unknown #1 is, as the CE maps have this unknown in a different location than PC maps... THEN, after that is done, I think we may be able to create a TAG Extractor... and possibly even a tag converter... but that is a long way ahead....

I think MonoxideC might be working on an update to HMT, to allow for batch extracting and rebuilding of map data.... but I'm not sure... just rumors.

Why? Sapien allows you to apply triggers as part of the possible applications for level population.
