Okay. On files.halomods.com i posted a file that was the main menu's sky. here is the link:http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=6286. right, well Madrox claims that i stole it from BA. who ever that is. so he closes my thread to this accusation. so now i am posting the tutorial that i originally made to go with this sky file. it is quite simple. the background has always been there so there really isnt any form of theivery from one another. i just make a new sky that has the space files referenced in. simple as that. well here is how to do it:

1. open up guerilla.
2. go to file>new> and select sky from the list.
Image
Image
3. now click on the "...." next to model and open up the tags\sky\space\space.gbxmodel
Image
Image
4. now give the outdoor abient radiosity color and outdoor fog color similar values to the ones i have. or just click the color box next to the values on the right and choose your own colors.
Image
5. now click on the add button for the lights section followed by choosing the sunflare effect in the tags\sky\space\sun in space.lens_flare
Image
Image
6. now choose the color and set it to a very light yellow like so
Image
7. check the affects exterior button, give it a power of about 1.7, set the test distance to 50, set directions y and p to *-30 and 25* to get the sun over the galaxy, and give it a diameter of about .2. all of this is indicated in the following picture
Image
8. save the sky
9. now edit your scenario to use this sky and now you have a new sky!

P.S. : could someone who is an admin on files.halomods.com please reopen my thread here:http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=6286

yah, i can teach for just about anything now. i can even do ai a little. i had it one night so that the ai were almost as realistic as they are in SP, they followed serach paths etc. it was great but i accidentally overwrote it with a dud and i lost all my good shit. so i have to try and remember how to do this(i was awake for like 2 night straight and then after doing it all i was asleep for 14 hours so it all is really a blur :) )

If you remember anything, I mean ANYTHING about AI production, would it be possible to PM me stuff about making AI' s , I can't quite comprehend it and need a bit of help. (oh, and if possible [if you know], maybe weapon physics and/or generic weapon tag editing) *winces in thought of possible flame*

Sweet! And that pretty easy once you know how :)

It seems we will be able to create almost everything from scratch... Just figuring out how is the hard part.

Tutorial on adding your own bitmaps to a sky has been added to the Halo Wiki. Click the link below to view!!! Soon to come, how to create custom sky gearbox models, for a truely customized skyline :P

http://wiki.fpsgamers.se/index.php/Halo/MoonbaseSkyTut

Feel free to upload materials to the Halo wiki by hitting edit on any page. The Halo Wiki is now receiving 500 individual IP hits per day. We need more tutorials to keep it going, and to make this the valuable editing resource that it should be!!!

You save the sky in the sky folder under the Tags directory. And you use Sapien to edit .scenerios.
