3dsmax 6 question..

im working on making a map with 3dsmax 6 and later ill try it on version 4 or 5 if i ever get it, but ive got a slight problem.
im applying images to my box looking level. im in the level creation part 1 in the tut. in the pics it shows the map image
applied on the ground and the sky applied to the walls. i followed the tut perfectly but the images dont show up. i havent
tried finishing it cuz idk if its a waste if this wonk work.

heres a pic of what im talkin about... it shows the ground and such, but mine is just a plain box.. not even the sky color

for ur material, go to ur material editor and click on that material then theres a little box taht looks like its blue and white checkered make sure thats clicked down.

Yeah you probably forgot to push the "show material in viewport" button (the one described above) at the right places where it says to in the tutorial - check back and see if you did that correctly

thx for the help, but i had done that. someone in another forum said maybe to render the image in the view port? im going to try that

ha y would u do that? that just makes the render in the screen either perspective, top, left, etc. thats not going to fix ur problem sorry, u might need to go to ur modifier list and add a uvw to it. try that.

i had the same exact problem... after you did all the other crap...

press M
hit the third button from the left
should work
