Trouble with new maps in Sapien

There is a shortcut for "New" in the File menu, and I am trying to start a new map from scratch...The only way I can figure to start a new map is by clicking that, but nothing happens when I do. If you have any suggestions, comments, or answers to my predicament, they would be appreciated..

You first have to model and texture the entire level structure in 3DS Max, export it using the blitzkrieg plugin, then compile the output of that into the .scenario file using tool.exe.....then and ONLY then can you open it in sapien...hope this helps, and good luck on your map. :)

Your welcome. But I just discovered two more things to clarify that a bit. After you use tool.exe to compile the structure into the .scenario tag, you must open that tag in guerilla and do some editing (the specifics are layed out in the guerilla section of the HEK tutorial), saving the changes when you are done. THEN you can open it in Sapien correctly. However, the level cannot be seen yet. You have to run radiosity in Sapien to actually be able to see the level structure, b/c until you do, there is technically no lighting, causing you to see nothing in the game window. The details of running radiosity are in the radiosity section of the HEK tutorial.

Hope this clarifies that matter a bit more. Again, good luck. :)
