.3ds file format question, and something else too.

I am new to these forums, and I have a question. If another 3d modeling program can export an object as a .3ds, then would it be the same as 3dsmax doing the same thing? I'm assuming so, but I would like some confirmation before I accidentally wreck the game. Also, would HEK import it with the texture that I put on it, or just the object?

Second Question: When your using Tool, you make the new bitmaps, so it doesnt matter.

You can't use .3ds, you need to export it using gmax or 3ds max to a .jms.

Thank you both, I thought that it would be .3ds considering the name of the program, and igues it would be easier to do it in tool.

Follow the HEK tutorial, its in your Halo Custom Edition folder.
