Sapien Possibilities....
Is it possible that because in sapien u can add vehicles that instead of making your own base, you could just design ur own land in GMAX/3DS and then add a base on sapien? Because I hate making bases......
Please give adivse on making them too if possible
Thanks

I don't think you can download basesWaverunner wrote:ok 2 questions then - can u download a base? *pathetic*
And how do u save it as a .scenery?
and what do u mean by making base geometry

To make a .scenery tag (been making allot of these for my new, almost done map-wohoo) you must model the base, just like in the tutorials, do everything just like you would a map EXCEPT when you go to compile it, you need to type in "tool.exe model scenery\yourscenery" THEN in max, you need to re-name the base (supposing it is all one part, if not than attach all of them together) to "collision geometry" and re-name the texture to the same. then in your scenery's folder, make a new folder, and name it "physics" export your new collision geometry, as jms, but the name MUST match the name of your scenery ex:
If your map name is "noodlesburg" (don't ask

Then you need to type in "tool.exe collision-geometry scenery\yourscenery"
Now in your tags folder toy should have your "bitmaps" folder with appropriate files, your "shaders" folder with appropriate files, and a "noodlesburg.gbxmodel" and a "noodlesburg.collision_geometry" tag.
Last step-yay- you need to open guerilla, press new and select "scenery" just select "noodlesburg.gbxmodel" for the "model" and "noodlesburg.collision_geometry" for the" collision model", save it as "noodlesburg.scenery" and you have a brand new noodlesburg base, scenery, thingee, all you have to do is add it into sapien

The dis-advantages of this are clear, and although your noodlesburg base scenery can be used in just about any map, it will be the SAME thing in all of your maps, and unless you are making a suburban housing complex map, that is usually not a good thing... I would suggest that you just make the bases on the maps

But now you know how to make scenery!!! Hope my post isn't toooo confusing... I am not the best writer, lol.
Good luck
