If tool closes (you can type again), then there's something wrong.
Other than that, you HAVE to ignore that error. Or try and make your own. But we don't know what's supposed to be in them.
Ever since I completed this tut and made a interesting looking (but working) cone-shaped ufo, sapien has refused to open and says i'm missing banshee cockpit.light_volume. None of my friends seem to even have the file so i'm very stuck right now.

i got this problem it show up on my map i got all the marker on, the power seat but it will not let me in. it will let me flip it if it upside down and also it let me walk through it in most places. i don't know if this will help but because it would not let me use it for the collision geometry i just made a square for the collision geometry and the ship i'm using is the fighterbomber (longsword)
and my friend thinks it because i'm using 3dsmax 7

You need to have a box called frame and link your model to it, then export it as jms. A small box will do, e.g. 10x10x10.
