Ok, i got this idea from the map faith (ty whoever made it)
Instead of destructable barriers, ive been thinking whole bunkers. Is this possible using HEK? I have the bunker modeled in 3ds max. How do i go about making the tags for vehicles from it? Also to make it destructable, id like to give it health.
If that's the case, wouldn't the building get destroyed if a player collided with it enough times? or are there settings / collision rules in place so that nothing happens unless it's had a collision from a weapon projectile...
I could see a lot of fun with this, if Gamble got it working
Watch mattp001's scenery tutorial and then modify the .model_collision_geometry and in there you should see under body and shield vitality etc. Just modify that to what you like.
20 body vitality will take about 2 rockets to destroy it. You can get the effects from the cyborg folder under characters.

I dont think it would rspawn- unless u made it a biped- lol, and gave it ai- (did this b 4- i made the scenery model replace the biped- and gave it an actor v- but removed the animations- and SHIELD-wink wink, blah blah blah- u know...)

you'd probably have to put some type of weapon effect on it, im not sure, im no expert. But it would be pretty stupid to be standing in a bunker, have it explode around you, and not take damage.
anyways, i tried putting body vitality(put it as one so it was easy to blow up for testing purposes, and a body shock of 1 also)on it, but that doesnt't do jack squat. there must be a switch im missing somewhere
its a pretty good bunker though
EDIT- made surface breakable, but still doesn't work, im gonna try it as a vehicle but not accesable to bipeds and doesn't respawn
i think u need to make some kind of seperate animation or model for when the bunker is broken.. otherwise you will see nothing happen - how is halo gonna know how to make the building look broken without a seperate model?
actually i thought it would just make it disappear, like just vanish instantly. that's not how I wanted it to turn out, but it was just a test. Still im clueless about animations so if anyone knows, contact me
If you do as you did before (set maximum body vitality) but this time look just below and you will see 'Body destroyed threshold', set this to typically a negative value (-1,-2 ect) and then scroll down to 'Body damage multiplier' inside the 'Materials' sub folder and change the value to anything above 1.
And then when you compile a map with that bit of scenery in, it should be destructable.
