Ground doesn't appear

I've run radiosity, and applied the example_tutorial_ground texture to the ground, but the whole map has the sky texture. How can I fix this?

this actually happened to me once to and it turned out the map was there it was just way up from where my camera started in sapien.

I thought so, but I've played it in-game and the ground still has the same texture as the sky.
