I've decided I'm going to try a Halo Series...

Made a somewhat "owning" video with good kills/setups from a few games I recorded tonight. I've decided I may try a "Halo Series" I always have and will give respect to RedvsBlue [why I sponsored them through this and last season] because it's alot harder then we all think. FTC is the only series I know of that has had more then 2 or 3 videos, I'm not saying the others are failures but I want to really try to make a beginning and end.

To get around the major obstacles such as bandwith, voice acting, and lag. I've decided a few things. For the bandwith I'm going to use bittorrent or something like it, so my site's bandwith kill my site [past tragedies]. For the voice acting I may use subtitles...I know not all that great but I'm still thinking on this. Half the problem is getting people to be on time and sound not echoing in their 10 dollar mics.

And lag, I'm going to be buying another xbox to mod my old one...but I may use it to have 4 of my friends control the "actors" with while I use one "cameraman" to be used to record. I've seen some interesting things about just simply taking out the recticle so I may do that, instead of edit the window after in a video editor. So I may end up being on xbc with 2 xboxs and if neccessary have some others "act" or do random things in the background to add humor.

Oh and no, this isn't on PC. It's on xbox as stated and will be more challenging that way but I'm glad I have a new capture card that makes it enjoyable and well worth the money I spent.

i would join up, but i cant .
for the maps, choose maps that have vehicles. or just manually inject say the ghost into battle creek. or say damnation. plus for the random people in the background you can have the ghost just randomley hover buy, over the bridge things in damnation. just a couple of ideas.

Good ideas. Keep them coming. I would like to have some people say in a nice big map being killed by elites.

I would love to help! The AI i would suggest is Flood Combat of some form, as all they do is run and gun. This would be a good setup for headshots, cool kills, etc. I would love to be part of the movies, but one problem. I have the Aquaduct 2 Pub Beta, wich works with XBC, however im having trouble joining. This series you are thinking of would be cool if it was more action then anything else (unless somebody here has a long supply of funny jokes.) and focus on choreography, which may include mods (like FTC 10's Navaras scene). If i can figure out how to get Aquaduct up and running(any suggesions?), id love to film!

yeah that would be a good thing, having the flood combats, or even grunts?
another funny idea would be if you had random MC's flying by the main people, then even a ghost/warthog. OR you could have a random explosion then grunts/MC's/elites/flood combats/warthogs/ghosts whatever, any of them fly by.
or something along those lines...

I'll be working in it this weekend. I'll have a trial video that has some stuff. Sorta like a practice run.

There are so many ways. 1 is to Map Rebuild MC Unarmed. Another is to change a weapon to the flag, then drop it. The latter is simpler.

You may be able to expect a short [commercial like] movie this weekend. I have the software, may get another xbox tommorrow and mod the hell out of my old, and I have a [small] lan party tonight. Capturing all footage.

There aren't that many successful series. Good luck, but try to contribute to a thread.

Captured more footage. I will edit more/get more footage/then... I'll hopefully have a small video testing out my techniques.

|Ideas|

I'll make this movie [fully worked out, done]. And split it up into sections afterwards. This way I won't be pressured to release it on a schedule. So far I'm thinking of some ideas, but I want to be original. Have something others don't. So far I'm thinking of a few shorts that aren't related to the main storyline, so I can get better ideas of how to film. I've got a means of enough boxes to get the job done.

Elite's will be making apperances, as will AI. I want to tie into the story. Actual gameplay will be added. Some funny, still not sure about voice acting or subtitles.

Good News:::

Storyline is ready, filming for main story will be starting. Footage should be captured well. Footage caught so far will be used as shorts to gain interest. Audio or text commentary still undecided...

Bad News:::

I ran out of physical memory today while capturing footage. I either need more RAM [maybe] or this harddrive is starting to die...which isn't horrible news because luckily I got payed not too long ago. All files are backed up on my xbox that are from the film.

So that's all for now, and I leave you with a *POSSIBLE* image to be used to start each of the intros for this mini series.

Like I said frozen, I'm capable of editing and modding it myself. I don't do things half assed or do it half and hand it off.

Getting a huge bulk of footage tommorrow because I have monday's off. It's coming together but I just need my actor xbox's to be more flexible and have control over their women.

So look for a short video tommorrow, no promises though.
