Video Compression Codecs

To upload Halo Movies, either Halo PC or Halo Xbox. Movies must be compressed with winrar or zip. Maximum 5MB/minute of video.

I have a full version of fraps and a radeon 9800 pro (yay!). I record videos, great!, but what codec should i compress it in that has good video and audio quality and doesn't have a huge file size.

and how do i encode the divx 5.1 codec? I need Dr. Divx, which costs $

You could get XviD. Its freeware.

Divx sucks. Just use MPEG with TMPEGENC or windows movie maker and make a wmv file. I recommend Windows Movie Maker because you can put all your movies into one file. DivX reaaaaaaly sucks.

All depends. Google for codecs. Flask MPEG works well for mepgs. Really theres many out there that work well but you have to decide.
