slow screen when recordin with fraps

Ok when i record halo usin fraps, my screen becomes sluggish and i can't really do anything..
can someone help me?oh and i have fraps 1.9D not 2.0

cuz its recording, it makes your gameplay slower becuase its busy recording, thats y so mny ppl's videos come out all slowish

lower your resolution, use the -window command, turn off certain settings. I don't, but my videos are still good...my video is the Halo CE music video

that one was funny, i did all those things, but it still is really slow...
