I made a small vid of a vehicle im working on. Since it doesnt have any weapons im making it go invisible temporarly. Obviously it still needs a lot of work. I still need to give it a camo bump, a skin, fix the effects, modifiy the timing of the camo, etc.

That's a pretty awesome concept...I think its camo is fine the way it is. In my opinion, the camo bump causes everything to be too visible. If this thing's only got a temporary camo, you might as well make it the best it can be.

But still, awesome.

:P i plan on having the camo have to charge up for a bit and obviously make the ending effect les... well les huge and obvious. i think the stealth aspect would be fun to experament with in a game. Just not sure how long to make it last for though.

That is an excellent concept turk. I felt surges of anticipation after that.

The lack of camo bumps is fine IMO, even in the utoob vid, I could see where it was and if you are a clumsy driver (like you are ;)) you will see the colission effects go off. Speaking of which, you recking you can make it if you hit something, it causes you to stop firing (ie no invis).

As for the camo timing, it all depends on the speed and the level. If its for lets say coag, it would either have to have a long camo to actually get somewhere or be quite fast.

And for the no stealth effect, I say use distortion :D Its not obvious in terms of colours (like your big blue bang), but it still causes motion for a players eye so they will be able to notice it if they are observant.

its funny cause that big blue blob is distortion, i just forgot a chunk when messing with the color. And the camo is on a time limit based on a delayed effect so its not going to be easy to make it uncamo the vehicle unless i make that vehicle have unique collision effects.

I still want someone to figure out how to get vehicles to go through teleporters. Because flying that thing through a teleporter would be awesome. :P

You can do it through scripting.

I think the camo should be a little longer, and maybe it could have some type of weapon. Unless you were trying to make a UAV of sorts.
