i'm using windows movie maker to edit a movie i read the sticky doesn't answer this, how can i cut songs? make thier running time shorter or start them at certain parts? there's got to be a way, please someone any help thanks!

You'll need to find a program that splices music files... I dont know of any though.

You cut songs just like you cut video clips. Just select the music bar in the timeline, then slide the timeslider to the location and time you wanna cut and press ctrl+shift+i. ctrl+shift+o defines the end of the clip. Experiment.
