A Halo Movie: ZERO ONE (Questions & Anwsers) BIG POST

Hello Yall,

Im working on a movie on my off days (2 days a week). Im in the beginning stages and have some questions that i need the viewing public to anwser. First im trying to decide if i should do a series or a movie. Pros & Cons...If i do a movie its a one shot deal meaning i can get it done with quicker but would have to put more into it. It would also be a very big file if i wanted to upload it (unless i upload it in parts which i would rather not do). Now if its a series it would be easier to handle because there would be more time involved inbetween episodes. Problem is i hate series because they tend to rip people off...they always leave off at the good parts to make you see the next one (which i will try not to do), and they always have like a bagillian episodes so downloading all of them would take almost forever *cough* red vs blue *cough*. So what i figure is ill do a mini-series...with seasons (if the first ones do well). But i want feedback on it first ...should i do movie, series, or mini-series?

OK Next right now its mostly me and another guy who knows absolutly nothing about halo...working on this (only the script so far and characters). I "MAY" need help with it...but the time frame of the help would be awkward and we would pretty much work strickly through email or instant message until shooting times which we will work around if need be. I dont want to go ahead and say i do need actors and people get pissed off because they are either not needed for a lot of the parts...or that this calls for a lot of time and work to be involved in this. So im just saying this out now because i may need some help later....

Now so far what i would need "IF" i need help later on, would be people who are good at modding HALO CE (CE only sorry PC people). By this i mean mappers, people who know how to change weapons (including taking out in and putting in new weapons), anyone with a knowledge of Flash (mx perferably) and/or Adobe After Effects. An intermediate knowledge of video editting...(know programs such as adobe premiere, windows movie maker 2.1, or others). Know how to do 2D animations and like cartoons. And last but not least some one who has a vast knowledge of the halo books in detail from memory. Now you dont have to know all of the jobs but if you know more then one its a plus.

Now about the movie, im trying to keep 'hush-hush' about it because im trying to do what no one has really done with the halo world via movie. I've seen others peoples videos and they are usually stunts or a mock off of what red vs blue has done (but there has been some original ideas). I think mine is semi original...im trying to keep the halo world in ground but push some non-liner thought into the mix. Im trying to add the "what if" factor into halo. This movie will involve spartans in envolvment with some covie experiments. The movie will have action,comedy and drama. It will be uncensored, and will have 'pg-13' language , which i know will count out a lot of viewers because of the cursing. But if you played halo you know its rated mature...and the sarge IS a marine and sure does talk like one...(or at least his marine buddies do). My humor is kinda odd, so im trying to get other perspectives on how to write this (via my buddy i metioned earlier). So the comdey will be a bit off-topic and sometimes random and off the wall, but at other times be on point.

Im trying new camera ideas and video concepts that i haven't seen in such halo movies to keep things new and fresh. And the story involves a lot of things such as Robots, Infections, Covienant 'other' worlds, Spartans, Human interaction, and of course all out fighting and war (but wont be the overtone of the movie).

So here is a spot i just wanted to inform people of what i was working on and get feed back of what you guys/gals would like to see. Heres a hint btw i love evangelion series, invader zim, and Zone Of The Enders.

I have some knowledge of the game and whatnot, and i can help out in the video editing process, as for mapping im still trying to get the hang of it( yea i have HaloCE ) and im almost ready to start making movies o my own ( dealing with fraps or video making programs ) i can act and help out for pretty much all you need
