Video making... Just cant do it

OK.....
How do I make a movie on my computer? I have a handycam digital camcorder... I can hook it up. I just can't record. There are two buttons that you press at the same time and then you press pause, but it records blank. Help.?

Is there anything besides FRAPS?!?!

Try out fraps. It's good for capturing game movies, try it out in the demo!

I know of FRAPS.. I dont have windows 2000 or XP so i cant do it.. And I tried the 98 version and it lags like hell when i record. Cant even walk in halo. So yea.
