I know this maybe pointless, however I was just wondering if there was a way to mod halo pc or xbox to get to play in 3rd person mode, instead of first person all the time..

Listen to this I emailed gearbox when halo pc first came out about 3rd person view..

I see that Halo 1.01 patch was released.

I thought when the kills are listed on the left side of the screen, the players name should be highlighted in RED or BLUE depending what team the players are on instead of just plain white, that would make it more barefaced.

And by the way what is the 3rd person command ?

These have been known for a while. A few us (Grenadiac and myself) had attempted to take it a step further in working toward enabling some of these 'POSSIBLE' commands via disassembly, we never really got much out of it, except for the addresses of the functions that parse console commands.

how come most commands while in game say they cant be executed....
plus its wierd how gearbox said they had it bound to backspace

Thats because some can and some can't, you have to be host for the sv_ commands to work, or you could just use rcon sv_ to use server commands from a client.
And some are dedicated server only commands.
