Map Idea: The Volcano

Here's what has been bouncing around in my head for a while.

There is a circular canyon much like Sidewinder,, the land is darkened by volcanic activity and molten rock flows exist throughout the land. In the center of the map is a massive volcano, with lava flows coming out of the sides and near the peak. Paths run up and down the mountain and at some points are only passable on foot. Thorugh the rock are tunnels dimly lit by the red and blue lights. The tunnels have sharp corners and pockets that make it easy to waste anyone that walks by. At certain points the tunnels lead out onto the side of the volcano and make excellent sniping points for attacking the base.

The bases are abandoned covenant facilities, outside Human forces have dropped Warthogs to aid in moving about the region. Inside the bases can be found a weapons locker where the Spartans can lock and load. On the far wall is a teleporter that leads up to the peak of the volcano.

On top of the active volcano near the start of the lava flow is a small platform. On this platform is a banshee and a couple ghosts leftover from the covenant's fleeing of this area. Those that hold the top will have an advantage, but we wary, the volcano is active and those that don't keep their eyes open will die in the dark tunnels, plumment of the jagged cliffs, or roll down into the molten rock.

I was thinking of calling it Celsius 1250 becuase that is the temperature of lava, but if it says anything about the heat resistance of MC's armor in the books I'd like to know.

Only with hek, just make a new bitmap for water, or make a new water piece altogether...

Maybe you could make it so there's fire inside of the water/lava so it hurts you when you step in it.

sounds fun, especially using a well-placed grenade to blow someone into the volcanoe, hahaha
