So, I am new at this "modding" thing, and actually quite new to this forum site. It seems like this place will be able to help me solve some of my problems that I am already having...

So when I want to change the rounds per shot, I hit the menu an hit zero for the plasma cannon (cause wouldn't it be so cool to make it shoot, like, 50 rounds per shot? haha) and then I change it, but when I load the map, the weapon won't shoot at all. Also, I would like some tutorials and hints and even possible downloads to get me started! thanks! I might even give you a rare popular mod, maybe you've heard the mod called Snowy Night?!?!?! haha

0 rounds per shot means it shoots 0 projectiles per shot, so... yea...

0 rounds per shot means 0 ammo is consumed, it does not affect the projectile in any way.

well, i found out that you had to change the # of projectiles that fire (silly me!), but hey, I still would like some awesome tutorials and downloads. Btw, I just recently re-downloaded the game, and now when I creat a shortcut to change it so that when I open it up, it pops up into a window instead of taking up the entire screen, it goes to the Halo game screen that asks to Play now or Uninstall or whatever... know anything about this? AND!!!! the person that helps the best will recieve that mod....

Re-downloaded? Use retail kthxbai.

Your shortcut's target field shoudl read the following: ""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe""

mhmm... then you type in ""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe -window"
make sure you add a space, and then the game will pop up in a window.

Why are you giving yourself advice? Didn't you just ask how to do this, and now you're providing an answer?

If you want it windowed, the target should be ["C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -window] without brackets.

well, the thing is, when I do that, it doesn't work. It just goes to the main screen and then when I click play now, it pops up full screen.

You shouldn't have to click play now with ["C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -window], I don't. How did you install this again? You downloaded it?

From there is where you come in.
Look in the tutorial section, find something cool, and do it. We can't do absolutely everything for you.

Tutorials and experimentation are key to releasing good mods, along with releasing many mods to find what people approve of.
