ookiday, So i be working on a model here, i inject a test for my shottie and i get a weird thing going on, my shottie (in 3rd person) has the plasma pistols animation. :| so i take a couple screenies, then quit halo, then start it back up again, same thing.

you set it's type as a plasma pistol, under the weapon tag.

It's type determines what animations it uses, because there are no 3P animations included in the model, they're all included in the cyborg model file.

If I'm mistaken correct me.

Seems about right, that's what I did with my laser on Fatality Island.

You sure? Check the shotguns tag.

But yeah, you can change the 3P animations by selecting it's weapon type.

It's still the shotgun animation but you moved the location of the node for the left hand of the cyborg.

Yeah. But I didn't think HMT exported the nodes. Oh well.

Looks more like the plasma rifle animation to me. Either that or you moved the nodes. Which would be awesome. :)

You can has lulz. Anyways, yeah if you moved the nodes, great job on doing something that has never been done before in PC remodeling. :P

Node moving isn't all that hard. But I would think you moved the attachment points rather than the animation nodes. The animation nodes would make things like reloading look a tad odd but not affect where the hands were holding the model.

Moving nodes IS hard if not impossible using a remodel.

By remodel yes. Much easier to meta edit it. All of the nodes are contained in the meta anyways, not in the raw data section.
