When you target a player with a weapon, the reticle turns red if close enough. What determines this?
The weapons I have have different ranges than the weapons they're replacing.

I thought it was magnetism, and auto-aim range affected when the auto-aim kicked in?

Magnetism is tracking range I believe, and auto aim is when the bullets automatically aim in the direction of the enemy when fired, but its not tracking.

so the auto-aim affects weapon auto-aim and the reticle's turn-red feature?

Both, on the Xbox. I don't know if it's active at all in Halo PC aside from determining when the reticule turns red.
Magnetism can occur without the reticule turning red, it doesn't play a role.

true, it just turns red when you aim it directly at an enemy. and in halo PC it would not indicate that your bullets will auto aim or have magnetism because halo PC has lead

I know how to edit it in guerilla, but not in HMT/Esch.
