Assault Rifle messed up

Post by JK-47 »

I rebuilt my map, and went into halo to test a few things, but I noticed my AR was messed up:

I know this happens when you don't decrap models or PMI correctly, but I haven't done anything to the Assault Rifle, is this a common issue? Can it be fixed by re-doing the rebuild process? It's never happened to me, so I don't really know.

you PMI'd the marine, the marine references the assault rifle, meaning during your extract you extracted your maps AR, which means you need to either delete it from your new objects folder or include it in the decrapper

Pelican
Garage Door
Giant Door
Poa Explosion
Rain
levels\c10\devices\lift\lift
levels\c20\devices\door_large\door_large
cinematics\scenery\pipe\pipe
Fog
Marine
And a weapon I duplicated (pistol, which works just fine)

Edit:

Damn, I really need to write a proper PMI tutorial...

Anyway, don't join the current fad for extracting every item to different folders. This is this sort of problem it will cause. :P

I could try rebuilding that for you using the new Eschaton if you want.

I appreciate the fact that you want to help the community, but why must you write it? You're not the only one who can PMI. Recently, you have been acting like you're the best out of this whole community. You have been working on a mod for two years I believe. Posting the new beta must feel great, but you're getting cocky.

I haven't done anything wrong. And the reason why I must write a tutorial is because I know the subject best.

Philly, don't want to burst your bubble here, but Eschaton .7 will make all current forms of PMI obsolete, so if you want to then go ahead, but it may not be used very much.[/honestly]

Cool. But since it's not out yet, and for JK's sake, a tutorial would be useful.

He doesn't need a tutorial. He already understands.

I understand the PMI process, I just didn't realize there was Assault Rifle tags in the Marine folder.

This is the latest release of Eschaton you're talking about, right? (waev)
