Ok well here is a little something i have been working on in my free time on & off. I was looking at some H3 pix on the interwebs & just absolutley loved the Mark 5 variant & I also hate every halo 2 spartan skin ever made for halo pc. So something in my head clicked these two ideas together & the next thing i knew i was on halomods looking for one of those crappy PC h2 spartan skins & found a decent one(I can't remember the creator's name). I used the same techique as i dod for my h2 banshee & wraith- draw some stuff in & reuse parts from other skins & the original spartan skin & was off on a frenzy of copying, pasting, smudging, drawing, blurring & testing. A few ays ago I configured a filter in photoshop & decided to add it to the skin to give it a "corroded" feel. It has no multipurpose yet, but I'll have some one make it for me when i have the texture ready. I still got quite a bit of work to do, but I'll work on it later.
So here it is! A product of sheer boredom! It's...

Take off the Ghost Recon skull and I'd say it looks pretty good.

Like JK said take off the emblem, and add something to the chestplate, more detail. Kinda boring to look at. I like the face being black instead of that golden color.

Darn, I was going to try my hand at making an updated Mark V.

Looks like you beat me to it and did it like forty gazillion times better.

9/10, could use some tweaks and edits.

If you need some reference screenies I'd be glad to get some for you. I was going to crop pieces of the screen shots and use them on the bitmap to make it look like the HALO 3 Mk V.

Hmm... I guess I could give Mk IV a shot (or whatever model they're using in HALO WARS).

"fake bumpmap" technique used on this? Seems so alot on the chest plate. That part is really giving me issues visually.
