Halo pc, ported to xbox 360, possible?
Would it be possible to change halo pc and make it work on an xbox 360 console? That would be the best way to play halo in my opinion. Im sure bungie or some other company is capable of doing it, but could the modding community pull it off?

No.
It's just not possible, in so many ways.
One, we cant get Xbox 360's to Run Unsigned Code. That's the first spot that'll kill it, without this, nothing else matters. Nothing else.
Two, we'd have to convert the entire game to a format that the 360's can read. That'd be a pain in the ass, completely not worth it IMO when you have H2/3.
I take it that Halo Xbox isn't backwards compatible? If so, then:
Three, even if we could do the above 2, I doubt that anybody would. If anything it'd be more logical to get Halo Xbox to run, because then Bungie Microsoft would be more keen on not suing, being that we'd have to own a copy of Halo. And I'm pretty sure it'd be easier to make the 360 run an old xbox game.
So, to answer your question.
No.

It's possible.
Take your 360 and plug it into your computer via USB, then your computer should read it. There should be a message in the lower right hand corner that says something about an XBOX 360 being recognized.
Then, after that, go to My Computer and find the XBOX 360 in the list of drives and such. Open up the XBOX 360 folder. Then go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games and copy all the contents of the Halo folder, and paste it into your 360 folder.
I do it all the time.

ya the logistics are insanley against you, but if you know how to program and have a lot of money you coud try xna, using the original maps and stuff you could base the .exe code of the pc version into the conversion but still that would take you forever...simple answer no just dont try it waste of time and money.
It's not completely impossible, like most things on the forum. The requirements would be ludacris though. You would need to first, convert the maps from PC, to xbox. Or in my case, PC>CE>xbox. From there, assuming you downloaded the Halo1 Xbox original version from xbox live on the 360. Figure out, (I don't know personally) how it was packed so on. Then from there, repackage your mods or whatever and ftp it over to the same place you got the Halo1 Xbox original. I think the hardest part would be getting whatever kind of security/signature they may have provided onto the package cracked and reversed. Which i'm guessing is the private key or something to that nature.
This is a quick rundown on how I see it working. Now, do I think it would ever succeed and go through? Absolutely not, but there's always the off chance, as little as it may be.
