How to make a nuke?

Hey. I've been trying to make a nuke for some time now. By nuke I mean you shoot the rocket launcher, the rocket explodes and makes a huge explosion. Not just throwing a grenade and seeing a small explosion seconds before your body goes hurtling through the air. I know the preferable way to do this is to PMI the poa explosion in the maw, which I have done, but when I fire the rocket launcher I get an exception? If you can help, please be specific.

You're doing the right thing by PMI'ing. Getting an exception is probably something to do with poor rebuilding techniques. Which tutorial did you use?

My brother wants me to make a nuke like weapon, so have developed it. I used a plasma grenade tho and make it shot out of the banshee. and made a catastrophic explosion enveloping me inside. Using HHTs v5, I...

increase blast radius
([jpt]-weapon/plasma grenade/explosion,min+max range: 15)
and particle system
([pctl]-weapon/plasma grenade/effect/explosion, explosion size: 15)

you can do the same for a rocket maybe?

(i also used the covenant beam from a10 pillar of autumn. it acts like my death beam, just gotta change the explosive effect lol)

please dont criticize, insult, or make fun of me again...

Philly - I'm using the tutorial found here: http://halo2.filefront.com/info/rebuilding except I'm skipping out the model stuff.

Basically, I batch extract infinity (ticking extract metadata) to a folder called build. I then extract BSP to a folder called VIB. Next I go to d40 (the maw) find the effect under particle system (I may be using the wrong one: could you tell me exactly which poa explosion to use?) extract it's metadata recursively to a folder called nuke.

After that I go into Nuke folder and merge the folders with the folders in Build. I then rebuild the level, for additional files I select all the files that came with the poa explosion, then click build. No new vertices or indices, and use new offset yes.

you want the POA explosion under the [effe] branch I believe, then swap the rocket's effect for that one, and make the rocket's damage big.

i never said go ahead and try this out.
hell, i couldnt even remember making a nuke! that was quite a while ago!
i deleted the map anyway! i over modded, didnt save the special result, then exeption, lol :)
good attempt anyway! ( i wouldnt know)

i didnt bother looking for POA explosion. i just wanted a good enough explosion.

(dont mind this post by me, i dont want negative attention...)

I meant I have no right to criticize your method since yours works and mine doesn't. I would try your method, except I'm looking for a really big, nice explosion.

That's more of a home made nuke, not as spectacular. He's trying to PMI a nuke in from the Maw.
