multipurpose problems...

so i decided to edit the cyborg's multipurpose. I inject it fine but when i go to a server, it comes out like this:

all shiny and glowy (I believe it is the cyborg reflection armor bitmap that is acting up... not sure)
this effect happens with all multipurposes in the format DXT2/3... and after investigating the problem even further, i learned this problem arises not only when I inject new bitmaps, but even the exact same ones i exported from the actual map...
any solutions to this problem?
