Halo 2 Sniper

Post by CallMeSheF »

I've updated the one I have in the download section, Comments/Criticism/Advice so I can make this one better.

Image

The scope is see through, except for the black lines and blue reticule on it.

this is really good, though imho the scope seems a bit wide or blocky or something =/

or than that, the fp is perfect =) still need to tune up the stock, etc though

I used InvaderVeex's H3 sniper animations, I like it better. I think it looks a little more accurate, and it also gets rid of some of the errors that might have shown up earlier with seeing the gun through the scope. Theres one exception, which I took a screen of. Which leads me into...

EDIT: look below for updated pictures.

one thing you may want to do, is fix the thing holding the scope up, int he last pic it seems a bit short or something =/

also, maybe make the scope a tad bit more round as opposed to rectangular? and make the "screen" smaller

Apply a little bit of alpha to the black lines in the screen, and alpha layer the outside of the black rectangle on the screen a little bit.

I can only work with what I have, you dont have to use the animations. Or you could be awesome and make some animations. You were messing around with that a while back, right? Just Kidding about that by the way.

Care to explain that a bit more, like make the lines thicker?

My mistake for not elaborating more, sorry about that. I mean, making them smoky grey and less dense

It doesn't make sense to have the gun pointing at the ground is what he's saying.
Most sniper remodels do that these days-primarily Halo 3 remodels-and honestly, it looks retarded.

The model looks alright.

I'd rather they not point at the reticle than be pointing at the reticle (if it must be a halo 3 imitation) while looking like they're being carried and fired from his hip.

Can't say I've ever fired a sniper rifle from the hip. Or pointed my gun at the ground and hoped it would reach a target.
The 'halo 3 imitation animation' sucks, not only that, but I don't think you noticed the fact that this isn't a Halo 3 imitation, the title clearly says Halo 2 Sniper.
Thar.

Philly, it's because it's a Halo 3 sniper rifle animation, it's supposed to.
