Hello, thanks for introducing me into mods, community.

I have recently download some of your coag files becuase I have only a trial of Halo PC.

I would really like to play them and if you guys could teach my how to get them to work that'd be great, thanks!

What sort of coag files do you mean? Sorry, I haven't kept fully up to date.
Do you mean Blood Gulch?

-At any rate, if they are PPFs, find and use PPF-O-Matic or another tool to install the files (select ppf in the ppf section, and the map, bloodgulch.map in the original section)

-If it's a bloodgulch.map file, back up your old one and replace it with the new one. Or, if it was a skin mod, use bitmaps.map. There may be two ppfs, one for each if there is both a mod to the map and the skins.

-If it's a skin, I think you'll need HMT 3.5, once you have that, open bloodgulch.map, go to the bitmaps section (bitm), and find the texture that you are replacing, then hit inject and put the downloaded file in there (The .dds)

Look around the Utilities section on this site to find the mentioned programs. Some searching may be required.
Hopefully this is what you were asking.

Pretty much what Kirk said.
If he didn't explain what you want to know, give a link to where you downloaded the mod and say exactly what you're trying to do so we know (I'm not sure what you meant when you said "some of your coag files")

How do you back-up the file?

You duplicate it and put it in a different folder. this is to avoid problems with the maps if lets say you get an exception error, then you have something to go back to without starting the whole map over again.
