help with custom UI

EDIT: ok so when i converted the UI from halo CE to PC with Harbinger it did it fine except it made almost all the textures pixilated like this:
so i got my backed up UI (because im a good boy and back up my files) and spent 45 minuted going through and ripping bitmaps from the ui file area for everything and i switched them out with the broken ones like so:
i thought i was doing the right thing but then i was verry disapointed when i jumped into game and saw stuff like this:
i thought i had just missed some bitmaps but when i went back into HMT i saw to my dismay that half of the bitmaps that i changed had become all pixilated again like the first image
2 hours of work down the drain can anyone help
Original Post: i read Pepsi's custom UI tutorial (thnx pepsi) and i was wondering how to get a new video in the background
iv tried a lot of stuff including opening it with spark but i want to make the background another level
any help or links to other posts are helpful

it is not a video. it is actually models and crap. the camera is scripted to swing around them like that.

i know that i make CE ui's i just wanted to test my skill at modding again
when halo first came out i was one of the people in the $$ clan i made the first version of bloodgultch and infinity cliff mods...

If you knew that...why wouldnt you know its an actual bsp with camera points scripted?

so its the same way with hce? then how do i get the scripts to work and put in camera points because its not the same tools as halo CE
PS and why the sarcasm dude... not cool im reteaching myself all of this

Ok you need the CE tools to make new ones...or use Eschaton to move around the camera points.

so i make the ui in CE then convert it using harbinger right?
the only problem is it doent give you the option in harbinger to replace the ui.map
ill get that far ill make the ui in CE thanks for info so far

in the options instead of the MP dialog choose UI.
or if you really cannot get your main menu running PM me the CE file and il convert it to you once my computer is rebuilt.

you mean all the sub textures because i did all of that...

oh that ya i did that and it corrupted the bitmaps ill try again one sec (i reinstalled)
it worked ok the problem was that i had converted it with find ones then i reconverted it with find all so the corrupted bitmaps from origional stayed

did you save in correct format? usually that happens if you make a bitmap size too large and it have to override some other bitmap next to it to make room. or what u injected is corrupted.

Yeah in harbinger you make sure its set for UI maps and click the find all drop down.
