easy question help

hi i just got a trial version of halo and halo map tools.
i open halo map tools while h trail is running
and i click open map and i dont know what to do next because i dont have a disk in my hardrive
can someone help me thanks

you don't open the map modding tool while Halo Trial is open, I think that could crash the game. also you open the map edit stuff then quit HMT and then load the map in trial to play mods.

im asking how to open the map just plain like click oepn and click on the map i want to edit
i want the map on the screen lol

Never double post, especially within a timeframe of 20 minutes,
we are not always patrolling to help everyone who posts right away.
As for your question, click open (File open?) and cruise on over to halo trial
folder and find your map, then open it.

i actually found the folder but when i click on the map folder it says inva
lid map file
(edit.edit)
it says file not found

probably because your trying to edit trial...hmt only edits halo pc...
You need a special hmt to mod halo trial.

Last I checked HMT could still open and edit trial maps. The main issue was that it couldn't rebuild (since the default magic value is different). That's the only change between HMT and THMT. You'd by any chance be running vista? I've heard bad things when vista + trial + HMT interact.

i think you want sparkedit. Correct me if wrong, but do you want to actually view the map and edit it?
If that is the case, download sparkedit....

ahhh thats it..and alt, only bad things happen on vista if you dont run it as an administrator.
