Halo won't load!

When I try to play Halo, the first Halo logo loads, then immediatly dissapears! The pop up saying "we found a bla bla safe mode bla bla continue anyway bla?" It dissapears too! When I actualy manage to select continue anyway, it loads the second, with normal Halo resolution, then closses out and takes my wallpaper away! I've never seen this before! What's wrong?!

EDIT: I just reinstalled the game, and this message keeps popping up!

I'm guessing hard drive has no space. Or RAM...

no. if it had no HD space that would not be related. if no ram then he would not be able to run up until now. my guess is that you don't have something completely installed or something got corrupted.

Halo doesn't seem to have "Read" capabilities, see if you can change that, and if not do a complete uninstall and then install again.

The problem is xfire. It keeps getting pissed with Halo.exe. it keeps using it, so it can't be used by another program - itself. How do I get xfire to ignore Halo?

quit xfire, launch halo, launch xfire.
