Night time

I wanted to make it look like night time at bloodgulch. Now, I know people who have modded bloodgulch, and given it a night time globe, but the whole place is lit up as if there were a sun in the sky. Is it possible to change the lighting?
A more overall question, how can I make it look (truly) Like night?

yes, skin the sky, then change the lightmaps.
