Rebuilding sidewinder

I've just started my first multiplayer map for FTD, sidewinder. When I rebuilt it, I added the 'levels\test\icefileds\scenery\mp_tree_pine_snow_tall\mp_tree_pine_snow_tall' file, like you're supposed to. When I started the game, I got an exception. I rebuilt it again, un-referencing the file in the scenario, so that's it's not in my map. I still get an exception. The map opens fine in sparkEdit. What should I do?

Try adding only the snow tree scenery to Sidewinder. Since it already has tree_tall (I think).

What do you mean by that? I added the snow tree.

add missing tree during the PMI process even thoe it is there anyways and also before you rebuild edit the XML file also associated with the "pine tree tall". This will make the map rebuildable and playable.
be for warned thoe..
just like i ran into with ftw, maps such as sidewinder, chillout and icefields to name a few can not be rebuilt then used for lobby joiner servers nor can anyone with stock maps join your home server.
im simply trying to save you a headache i had with that. referance to the discussion on this ->

Don't worry, these maps aren't going to be joiner friendly, 'cause I'm modding the hell out of them. Thanks.

like pepsi said, modify the xml files for the tree, in some of the tag paths there are a few extra "\"
you do not need to add the tree in the build.
I have rebuilt sidewinder at least 3 or 4 times with this method and no problems, so i know it works.
also, >_> at hmt not extracting that xml correctly, i just don't understand how it could possibly make that error on that tag every time...
