I was sent a PM about my last post.
-DeToX- wrote:Your topic in the Halo PC Modding Section seems to have encountered a problem. When merging a double post you made, it seems the topic just got cut in half... And the other half is missing... Tural says it usually happens when two moderators split a post at once..

I am truly sorry for this inconvenience. It would be kindly appreciated if you reposted the topic. I could get all the replies for you to the topic if you would like.

I mean't in caimpain! You think I wouldn't know how to make theMP armor orange?
MoDFox wrote:You colour it orange like any other skin?
Blarg-Blarg-Blarg! wrote:Then the orange would mix with the SP & MP maps and ruin them! Let's take a noob freindly walkthru here. You know how John's armor is GREEN in a10, a30, a50, b30, b40, c10, c20, c40, d20, and d40? I want that GREEN to be ORANGE instead. Uuuhhnn-deeerrrr-staaanndd??

MoDFox wrote:Yea, no need to be an ass about it. Sorry about that. But as far as I know, you can't change that.

One is white so that it is simple to overlay another color. So just do some photoshop-style overlay/filter magic to change the green to orange. It's not gonna mess with the MP stuff at all.
There are all your replies. Once again I apologize for this incovenience. Good luck on your quest for answers >_>..
Please keep my topic alive. I realy wanna make the ui sound TaR theme, and MC's armor Orange in Campain

I don't think this should count as a double post, but...

Then which one is green? Please tell me how to find it in HMT 3.5

Please don't double post, thats why there's a edit button. There should be two cyborgs, mp_cyborg, and cyborg. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Anytime you post twice in a row, its a double post, unless your bumping a topic of yours that's old.

Blarg, look for the skins in HMT, and skin it. Tadah, problem solved.

And you might want to expiriment with the "forced permutations" settings under the biped tag using phenom's 64 plugin pack.

And why orange? Thats such an ugly color.

Well I dont have halo installed, so you can either wait patiently until somebody who does have it and is willing to take the time out to look for it so that you can make your mod, or you can spend that time trying to find it, and

Solution:

1. inject the marine's skin as the MC's skin
2. inject an orange MC skin for the marine
3. in HMT swap the reference so the MC biped now references the marine skin bitmap for its skin, and the marine biped will reference the mc skin bitmap for its skin.

in order to swap the reference, you need to batch extract and do XML editing. At least for PC you do.

still, that will give you what you are looking for.

to get the mc not be green you edit the [soso] tag and change it from "B" to "none" for the cyborg armor. there is a tut i posted for sound editing. you need the 60 plug pack for both.

I'm sure I've answered this before, otherwise it's just a massive Deja Vu. Anyway...
Do what Pepsi said, then do the EOF trick, then inject your custom skin.
I've just PMI'd some sound; it works just fine. :)
