Change Starting Weapons -- MULTIPLAYER SERVER
Basically I have no idea how to make it so the Magnum isn't your secondary starting weapon on my server.
Do I edit the specific map (bloodgulch.map) or is there a setting I somehow overlooked?
I also don't want every weapon on the map to change just for the starting weapon.
Also this is for Halo PC not CE.

I just want an Assualt Rifle with no Pistol as secondary weapon.
I noticed Generic and Custom weapons setting but how do I actually set the Custom Weapons setting.
Also if you mean try checking out the two different types, the both have the same starting weapons.

I have no idea how to swap weapon settings and models around, and if I did that would it even work for the player who doesn't have the map?then do a swap of w/e weapon and the pistol.

I have HMT and SparkEdit, and I've made a few cliff mods a while ago.
I just never really looked into editing weapons and I basically want the Magnum to be modded so its a "Golden Gun", one hit kills.
So I actually need the weapon to exist I just don't want it to be your secondary weapon and I just need to ask you one more time to make sure.
If I swap the magnum with another weapon. Will the server tell the client that the starting weapons are Assault Rifle and *Swapped Weapon* or will the Server tell the Client the starting weapons are Assault Rifle and Magnum.

it will say that the starting weapons are AR and pistol. the one [problem with this is that you will be able to see the "golden gun" and kill people with it, but they will see it as a pistol with a 1 shot kill, also if the starting weapon is AR and pistol and you swap the pistol with the PP everyone joining will see that they are holding the pistol, and the shots as pistol bullets, but you will see them as plasma pistols with plasma pistol shots. it will make some confusion on the server.doogie1012 wrote:I have HMT and SparkEdit, and I've made a few cliff mods a while ago.

It's really simple. ALL you do is go into HMT and go into the dependancy swapper. Then select bipd, then go to cyborg_mp, then scroll to the bottom in his window. You'll see "weapon\assault rifle" and weapon\pistol." Null out the pistol. It's CSS and everything!

Actually the Golden Gun to me looks like a normal pistol, I only called the map the Golden Gun because of the Magnums power, I know how some client - server (like the server will say someone died if they were meant to meaning when you powerup guns it updates on their side so they don't need the map)bcnipod wrote:doogie1012 wrote:I have HMT and SparkEdit, and I've made a few cliff mods a while ago.

And I have no idea what the Dependancy Swapper is. (At least by its name), I went into bipd, cyborg_mp in the little menu but I don't see the weapon values. (CSS = Client-Server Side?)

Use HHT to edit the Scenario.
There are four item collection dependencies. Two are the custom starting equipment, and two are the generic; Assault Rifle and the Pistol. You can null out the secondary weapon or swap the weapons for anything else. I hope that helped.
