i solved the verts problem im getting

You are remodeling right? Make sure you only move vertices, dont make any new ones or delete any old. And dont move faces, just to be safe. I did that once and got the index error, never did it again and never had another problem.

is there a set limit of verts that we know that we cannot exceed?

Yes, its actually a very simple formula. D=the number of verts originally in the model, H=the allowed number of verts

D=H.

Tadah. You cant add or subtract any or else HMT will reject it, because it will mess up the structure of the map. It is possible to inject these models without CE, you just need somebody to make a better program than HMT. It's useful, but could be improved on vast amounts.

or just make custom models and then find someone with a mac if you don't want to go into HEK.

you know i have never gotten that to work correctly with me. the models always come out looking like shit or not at all.
