HMTv3.5 Keeps saying that the .dds must be DXT1, when it is.

I'm trying to inject a new AR hud recticle. In photoshop, I save the edit .dds file as DXT1. Then when I try to inject it into HMT, a pop up comes up telling me the file must be DXT1.

It's driving me insane. I've also tried saving it in Paint.net. No luck. I've saved it with and without MIP maps. No luck. Any ideas before I break my screen?

Sigh..
The reticle isnt a DXT1 as in DXT1 saving. it is a A888. right above "save texture" in hmt it says...
"A8R8G8B8"
So you want to save it under the dds format of A888.
A - Alpha
R - Red
G - Green
B - Blue
Man... I really have to write that skinning tutorial soon >_>

Am I the only person on this site to have found a solution this problem myself, without asking anyone? Weird.

No, most people prefer asking rather than experimenting...

When is says "Must be", it doesn't mean "needs to be", it means "problably is".

its fun to experiment, but that takes time, easier just to go search and find the answer in a couple seconds then to keep tryin until its right
