As far as I have seen, only the elites can melee-
Do the marines have melee animations?

I'm sure I could just swap them with spartans, but I'm not sure I could get them to melee, even though they have the animations for it...

I'll test out the actv tags, but if you've done this successfully before, please share.

They do melee. I've pmi'ed marines and changed the cyborg_mp tags to the marine's...and they do melee.

But you cannot mix models/collisions/animation triggers. they must be the same. for example: elite,elite,elite, cannot be: elite,cyborg,elite.

yeah I've noticed that. I once swapped the marine and elite animation triggers- I got a marine that had what looked like a black rod for an arm and a hand sticking off the end of it. Their death animations were even more freaky.
