downloading from Halomaps.org

ok i am posting this because i am having problems downloading from halomaps. also this corresponds to the release of Harbinger. if you know how to FTP then this is for you:

i am on a mac so i will be refering to Terminal

1. open terminal
2. type this in WITHOUT QUOTES! "ftp files2.halomaps.org"
3. when it prompts for a name type in "anonymous"
4. when it prompts for a password type whatever you want it does not matter
5. press the enter key or the return key
6. now type "cd /files"
7. now type "get " the type "the_file_name.zip"

what that last command means is that you type in the name of the file. it will begin downloading right away, and i find it is much less annoying than waiting for the download button to actually work and not redirect you to the main halo CE maps page.

EDIT: and i just realized that this should be in the tutorials so if anyone would like to move it that would be great.

Yeah...i'd consider this the dirty way of downloading. And its not modding, and it needs to go in Tutorials

i did say i made that mistake i apologize, this is not a dirty way to download, this is how you download from an FTP site using Unix.
