Yea you need CE. Unless im mistaken the jackal shield is just a shaders and bitmaps.

Odd way of handling it, They should've done it better.

No it's not, I looked through the map files and extracted XML files, all I found were shaders and bitmaps.

and under particles there's a file that links to something

PointPhysics\Vacuum Particle

But theres no model for it. If you dont believe me look for yourself.

The shield is part of the jackal model.

yeah...believe it or not..

lights in bsp have models :O

anyways...everything that looks solid (light from a fixture shinning down, jack shield, pelican, tree) is a model.

Really, even the lights have models? Makes sense really, I take it they made the model then just put a semi-transparent [skin/shader] on it?

Some lights have models, others are just a bitmap with an xyz co oridinate. :o

ok like...beams of light that are like an octogon are models.

the light itself is from the lightmaps which are not bitmaps of floating light.

they are bitmaps that edit the look of the bitmaps and the feel of the game. (like the chief walking into a shadow type of thing)
