Preveiw for PMIsland, hope you like the way it looks.

Ok, I've been working on a little something I dubbed "PMIsland." The way the mod works sounds simple, I've added few vehicles (Pelican, Wraith, Covenant Dropship, and Lifepods). Doing it, was not. I didn't just add them, I made it so you can drive the C-dropship with a semi-good veiw (I had to go with first persion, I'll try and fix the third persion veiw), made the lifepod driveable (not to mention adding physics in which you don't fly through walls and making it a hovercraft, you can still stick the front through walls but not the whole thing), and added collision, drag, beat impact, and walking sounds to each of them. This wouldn't have taken near as long had I not been forced to go to backups 5 times, once having to reinstall the game. So, it's been alot of work, but here it is so far. I plan on skinning thins to make them look better.

Note: the sky looks black, in the mod, the sky will not be black.

Ahh yes, the Pelican

Last but not least, the Coventant dropship

I hope that my confidence in this mod is not in vain, because I spent alot of time on this and I'm worried people are gonna think its mediocre...

GMAO (grinning my ass off)

Well, I forgot to mention a problem with the Airfoil. I hade to transplant Wraith physics to it, so the front of it can go through walls a bit. I'll try and fix it.

I think it looks alright. It shows that you have a some amount of patience, which is a good sign of potential. You'll need that patience later on when you try bigger things. I can see your starting to pick up new talents, this is the first time I've seen something realeased from you that is a PMI, unless I'm mistaken. Keep it up.

The mod itself is nothing groundbreaking, but because it has the potential to be good, i'll give it a 8/10.

With the final, make sure the vehicles dont overwrite any other vehicles. (put them in with sparkedit), make sure that there's more than just added vehicles (put in new models, edit damages, ammos, skins, etc.) and find something to make it stand out. Give it something that has an edge to it, find something nobody's done and do it. It doesn't have to be groundbreaking new, You don't have to discover a new way to mod something, just do something that's unique.

Ok, the thing about not overwriting vehicles, I had to go through a bit of checks and blances. You see, they spawn as scenery, so they don't respawn. To make them able to be destroyed may seem a lttile unfair. I may do it anyway .

As for skins, yes there will be skins. As of the time I posted this, I'm making a shinier MC, and I also know for a fact that there will be a skin for the Warthog, C-dropship, Lifepod/Airfoil, and a few enviromental changes.

I see great potential too, but I also see alot of time between the release of the mod and now.

You said something about pateince....

Since when am I patient? :P

There's only twenty-something lightmaps in DeathIsland. Think Pepness.
