Model Issues after Rebuild

Post by UntalkativeBunny »

Hey

I got some more problems... I pmi'ed a few things normally, decrapped like always, and rebuilt. Everything went fine and dandy, but when i went into sparkedit , i saw this big blob of crap. It was the assault rifle. for some reason the assault rifle model got fubar'ed during the rebuilding. i have already tried exporting the models from other maps and placing them in to the rebuilt one, but i get randomized blobs.

a *^&% up model with 2 huge verts sticking out of the sides, and everything is mixed and jumbled up. like the trigger's vertices are probaly at the muzzle.

that is what it looks like in-game?

if so try looking at in a model viewer, determine if that is what it looks like. I only say this because in the past i have run into problems with bad models which people in my beta test of H2 weapons mod can attest to.

ok what happens is you over look decrapping the ar model...

the ai has an ar model. so since you didnt decrap...it looks like crap. to fix this just delete the weapons folder in your bipd/actv folder.

either that or just add the weapon into the list of the items to be decrapped, for example, if you're going to pmi the grunt with needler, just add the needler to the decrapping list and you should rebuild fine

O.o

That, I can say, is queer.
Weapon you PMI AI, the [actv] tag should refer to a weapon, in this case the assault rifle. The model will only be crapped if it wasn't in the map already. If it is crapped, re-extract it from the original map and rebuild again.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

not true...if you overwrite a model for one that hasnt been decrapped...what do you think is gonna happen...trust me. anything you pmi whether the map has it or not needs to be decrapped.
