Experienced modder needed!

I need an Experienced modder to answer this:
How do I use the modded maps???
I tried replacing it with the similar one, but it wouldnt work, can someone help me do it?
I need to know how to do it asap.....

A) What kind of mod is it.
B) What filetype did the mode come in (not the .rar or .zip).

U shouldn't even be playing halo. its rated "M" for "Mature"

Well you need to change the map to modded then it should be done unless if someone gave you a map thats modded.If thats what happend if someone did give you a map put that in your halo map folder.

Is it a map someone gave you?Cause if it is just rename the original map to like whatever the map is bak or something.Then just put in the modded map it always works for me.

so say, for example, the modded map was called blah.map, and it was based off sidewinder.***, so i would name sidewinder blah.map and blah.map sidewinder.***???

umm im getting confused with the blah lol
ok SideWinder.map you wanna change that sidewinder to a modded sidewinder so it says sidewinder.map so change the name to sidewinder.bak just so you know its a backup map.Then just put in the modded sidewinder.map is that good enough?Someone else can explain im not the greatest at explaining.
P.S.Oh and MC117 im 12 lol and im playing halo muahaha...

i just tried it and now i dont have sidewinder, what do i do? its like an internet explorer mod map thingy, liek it has the peice of paper then the internet explorer sign on top, what do i do???it was some like ********.rar

Rar, lol, you need winrar to extract .rar files and the stuff you need is inside! The map files or ppf files will be inside the .rar. Oh and did you delete your sidewinder.map without making a backup? There is a way to get oyour maps back, go look around.

k, little note here, video game violence hardly matters at all as long as the player can easily tell the game from real life, for example, when waking up i hardly put on a MJOLNIR suit to go to school. i also never see anyone grab a banshee, go to work, and shoot the hell outta elites!

i PERSONALLY think that the esrb thing is for parents to keep their 5-year olds from playin games like vice city or, like the movie rating system of america, from little kiddies watching sumtin like Saving Private Ryan or the excorcist. kid, as long as you know for sure that you don't wear mc's helmet, carry an Ma5B assault rifle, or mow down elites in hog's, or can, than ur fine.

o, and mc117 and voided, i am 14

ur problem is that if the map says .rar after it, u have 2 download winrar to unrar it (raring is an extremely effective way to condense files)after unraring, it will ask where u want it, put it in urc:/program files/microsoft games/halo/maps folder (that is the default area where halo data is stored)

then, make a backup folder (on your desktop for easy access) and, selecting all of your maps in c:/program files/microsoft games/halo/maps
ctrl+c (copy) them and, opening your map folder, paste them (ctrl+v)

that should do it

Ok thx guys, and anyway, me AND my bro have seperate games, my parents bought it for me for my birthday, i used to play diablo 2 lord of destructuin (also rated m) and blizzard games like starcraft and warcraft, all my parents bought for me, and i aint no spoiled brat, i do good in school, i can acually read the words right (no one but one of my friend in *Edited out* can acually read a sentance without messing up...i like correcting them...). so...... anyone have a problem??

Oh yeah, by the way, where do i get this winrar?

And voided, I was playing those games since age 8...almost 2 years....

Oh yeah, and moron... your name speaks for itself... you are one! I have my own game and i easily beat him up, so dont think im tricky to mod my bros game( i would though....

)i also did NOT delete it as a matter of fact. i am tricky, like tapping someones other shoulder, hiding behind doors then scaring my dad(or mom) and stuff like that.

I don't even know why halo is rated M. Sure you kill and there's blood, but it's not like there's mangled bodies...or even bullet-riddled bodies
