Problem with converting d40_terrain.sbsp: No sky!

So, I converted d40_terrain to bloodgulch. The map is working fine, and I can play it fine. But the sky is all black. I've tried PMI'ing many skies, with no success. Any ideas?
Here is a pic of what I mean:

after pmi'ing the sky

open halo hacker tools
go to the scenario tag
and under there should be something like "sky" and nulled out. fill it in.

Try making it something else?
Try editing the bitmap.

It looks pretty cool all black...

I think you're reading it wrong.
I did a SP>MP conversion, but would that affect the sky?
Good idea though...

Meh, already tried that.

so the sky tag is present in hmt to edit right? can a simple shader be swapped onto it? like swap any "unknown pc shader" over the sky itself and see if that takes effect.

but yeah.. thats definally weird. its like trying to spawn rocks out of a pistol or something..

Maybe do it in ce? It's almost the exact same thing.

Not everyone likes using CE...

And, I think that this has been done... Can't remember where I saw it... I think it WAS CE... Keep going at it anyways! :)

Convert ce>pc. It's almost the same thing but you have to convert the header. Tutorial by conure on halopc.net

Sorta like making a good mod without CE requires brain work, skill and actually in sight? Or for that matter making a decent mod of any type. Andrew CE is not the answer to all questions, both have there advantages and disadvantages, so dont act like we are "noobs" for choicing a differnt modding style.

Also at OP- The bsp section may be referring to a different sky chunk then the scenario has (I.E. it is referring the sky chunk 2 which mp maps dont have unless added). I believe warlord ran into this problem for a mod, you should try PMing him.

Your problem there is that part of the scenario has a missing part and in order to get your sky to load you must find the faulty peice of code.
i usualy use halo CE scenarios and convert them to pc which is what i would suggest but if you can pm me the map il take a look for you on my pc in hmt and HHTv5 and see if theres anything i can see thats differnt.

I CANT DO THAT ITS TO HARD! VIDEO TUT PLEEEAAASSSEEEEE.

not everyone in pc is a noob. just since the noob rush i have been saying noobs because the majority isnt as experienced as the rest of us.

I've been modding for over a year now, and I can safely say I'm not a noob. Most people who use CE have the maturity not to want the shotgun to shoot rockets, and they are generally looked up to as more experienced. That's why some people think that all PC modders are noobs.
I've never used CE. :P

I would, but my hard drive really couldn't handle it. :?
You're not a noob, I think you're just younger than most the people on these forums, is that right?
