avp idea

Post by Aaron Tanis »

ever since the first time i played halo sp (about 6 months ago) ive wanted to make an avp mod for it. i would imagine i could have the covanent elite model be the predator (with new skin of course) and one of the flood models could be the alien (new skin too). i dont have 3dsm or any experience with it so i wouldnt be able to do any model editing. i think the basic marine model for the humans would work as it is. i imagine i could modify the attributes and be able to create a third team and the player could choose what race they were by switching team (just like it is now). another idea would be to select race under player options (replacing the color selection menu)

i probably dont need to make many new weapons. i should probably make a melee weapon for the predators like a wristblad or combistick or something like that. i dont know if i would be able to get the aliens to wallcrawl. i would think i would be able to since, iirc, the littlest flood guys could stick to the walls. i guess i wont know untill i get there.

i do have some experience modding with avp2. making new characters, skins, weapons, maps; all kinds of good stuff so i dont image any of this would be too hard to manage. thats all i can think of at the moment. ill post more when i think of it.

in halo map tools v3, when you open up character/biped/cyborg/cyborg
(or something like that) there is a flag that says "walk on walls" check this and the player can walk on walls ( thats porbly why its called that though)

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead,

but I agree... that would be awesome. It would probably be best for death island, you can make it more tropical, less sand, more trees...the predator is MC though, not elite. They have a active camo button... but that drains from your shield.... and the pistol is the spear assault rifle is tracking plasma, rocket launcher is tracking disc, fuel rod gun is plasma pistol (the predator one, not the Halo one), Halo plasma pistol is spear gun, covie assault rifle is the explosion disc, and the sniper rifle is the pinpoint spear weapon. The view modes would be too hard though I think... and the skinning time would suck... but this would be cool. Jump would be higher also, though, predators are stronger than MC.
